Yee-Haw Foreign Language

This is basically an extension to the rules of the normal game of Yee-Ha, also available on this blog. This adds an interesting and foreign language component to the game allowing you to make up phrases of your own. Following is an example of a French version:

As in the silent version of the game (also explained on this blog), a player can call ‘Cow!’ or ‘Hoe!’ at any point in the game. If a player calls this, that would have the effect, in this case, of changing the language of the game to, in this example, French. Although the actions do not change and neither does the direction of turns, the English phrases need to be replaced with their closest French counterparts. For example, ‘Yee-haw’ would become ‘ami’. The game can go back into English by only using the second part of the French phrase. The change in direction also occurs as in the regular version of the game.

The three-in-a-row rule that applies to the standard game also applies here, regardless of the language and an action can never be repeated more than thrice in a row. The game can begin in any of the chosen languages.

Mistakes result in a three finger drinking penalty.
