Eurovision
Here’s a game that will help to make Europe’s silliest song contest a little more bearable, and one which can be adapted to American Idol or any other song contest for that matter.
The drinking penalties are as versatile as you want them to be, but they need to be decided before starting to watch the show. An example is that a person has to drink a certain (say three fingers of the penalty drink in this case) every time one of the presenters criticize the song of another country. It might also be decided that every time someone in the show says how great the Ukrainian (not very likely, mind you) Eurovision entry is, another player has to drink the three fingers of their drink.
To add to the alcohol-induced debauchery, everyone participating has to drink when a country’s Eurovision entry is not sung in the native language of that country (Ukraine, often being an example!)
Further rules for drinking penalties apply when the voting rounds come in at the end of the show. Every participant picks a country (or more countries if there are fewer players) and every time that country’s entry gets a vote, they have to drink the penalty. If the country scores the maximum points, then the drinking penalty is rises exponentially. If your chosen country wins the entire competition, then you must down the rest of your drink.
